Supposedly he was named after a cowboy on a TV show, but that could just be what he tells himself as a confidence booster.
He is a graduate student at Full Sail University, studying New Media Journalism. He also earned a B.S. in Theology from Mid-Atlantic Christian University and a M.S. in Education from Radford University.
He has done time in the public school system as a middle school teacher, as well as worked in a few churches on occasion.
He has also worked in sports media including the local ESPN radio affiliate, writing for Examiner.com and the Sports Page Network, as well working for the Roanoke Times.
He's a big fan of Jesus and thinks Jesus' philosophy on making friends was money. Turn a little water to wine, mix in some fish sandwiches, and hang out with the common folks more often than the super religious.
He is a lover the Celtics, rotisserie chicken, Friday Night Lights, jam bands, and putting his pants in the dyer a few minutes before wearing them.
He is not a fan of wet socks, the quick turnover of special menu items at Wendy's, and little dogs who don't stop barking.
